This guide is designed to help students discover more about the state of Oklahoma, including its geography, climate, natural resources, symbols, and culture. It will also direct students to biographical resources for some of Oklahoma's famous and noteworthy citizens.
As students learn about the history and culture of the world around them, it is important that they have background knowledge of their own state. This knowledge will then make it possible to compare and contrast their own experiences with what is being learned about new places and times.
