    This is a safe-internet search engine. All of the resources are teacher-approved. Look up "Oklahoma" or the name of your famous Oklahoman.
    Kids Search
    Kids Search is a great place to find newspaper and magazine articles, encyclopedia articles, photographs and other resources. Enter your search term in the "find" box and then you can sort the results by the type of resource you are looking for.
    World Book Web
    Look up items in this online encyclopedia just like you would in the print copy. The online version has added content such as pictures and videos.
    Biography in Context
    Gale Biography in Context contains biographies on many famous people. You can enter the name of a famous Oklahoman, or you can enter "Oklahoma" in the box and click on "birthplace" to find people who were born in Oklahoma.

    Almanacs
    Use almanacs to find quick facts and statistics. There are several different almanacs available for use in the Reference section. Here are two that would be useful for the Oklahoma project.

Keep in mind that if the book is checked out, it may not be returned before your report is due. Keep searching for alternative sources, such as online resources or those listed on the Reference Sources page of this Wiki.

    Browsing the Stacks
    All biographies are located in the Biography Section with the call number "B" followed by the first three letters of the subject's last name. They are arranged alphabetically by the subject's last name.
